Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), Mozambique
Bique Osman (MD, Ob/Gyn, PhD) is head of the Academic
Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Faculty of
Medicine. She has 20 years of clinical, teaching and research
experience in maternal and perinatal health. Since 2008, she has
been the local coordinator of the Flemish Inter-University Council
(VLIR) 'Institutional University Cooperation Programme'. This
programme addresses reproductive health, HIV/AIDS and family
matters through multidisciplinary inter-university research.
Khatia Munguambe (BSc., MSc.,
PhD) is a biologist by training and a senior researcher in
community health and socio‐behavioural studies by profession. She
teaches scientific research methodologies for the Masters in Public
Health at the Faculty of Medicine of UEM. She is co-investigator of
the UEM in the MOMI project.
Dr. Severiano Charles
Foia (MD) is the District Medical Officer of
Chiúta District where the MOMI research is taking place. He is
the junior researcher of the UEM team.
